Dampers

Dampers for Industrial Fans

Dampers regulate the volume of the flow of radial fans to adapt the fans to different operating conditions of a system. Altering the flow with the help of a damper is a control method both from a monetary and energy-saving perspective. Our supply includes simple dampers and louver dampers. Standard dampers can be used for applications up to 200°C. Dampers made of special materials can be provided upon request. All dampers can operate with a manual lever as well as with an actuator. The actuators can be electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic depending on the request.

DAMPERS

Dampers can be mounted on the intake or exhaust side. If mounted on the intake side, there must be sufficient space between the damper and the fan to ensure a constant flow towards the impeller. If it is mounted directly at the intake, it can only be used as a startup damper. If directly connected to the exhaust side, the position of the rotation axis needs to be considered.

LOUVER DAMPERS

These dampers can be directly mounted on the exhaust side or anywhere else within the system. If directly mounted on the exhaust position, the position of the rotation axis needs to be considered.

Flow reduction by the damper is the simplest method to apply, although it involves higher pressure losses. The resulting pressure losses correspond to the angle size of the damper blades.
